How HArmonyCa works
Two components, working on different timescales.
Traditional dermal fillers restore volume but don't change your skin's underlying structure — once the filler breaks down, you're back where you started. Biostimulators improve firmness over time but offer nothing immediate. HArmonyCa® was designed to do both at once.
Immediately — the hyaluronic acid
The cross-linked HA gel provides instant volume and lift. It's mouldable, so your practitioner can shape and refine the contour during your appointment. This is the result you'll see when you leave.
Over the following months — the calcium hydroxyapatite
CaHA microspheres act as a scaffold that activates fibroblasts, the cells that produce collagen and elastin. New collagen forms within the first weeks and continues building over one to three months, creating firmer, better-supported skin.

HArmonyCa® is NOT used in the lips or the under-eye area. Calcium hydroxyapatite isn't appropriate where the skin is thin, due to the risk of visible nodules. If those are your areas of concern, we'll recommend a more suitable product at your consultation.

What's involved

Assessment & mapping
We assess your facial structure, confirm HArmonyCa® is right for you, and mark the treatment points.
2.
Injection
HArmonyCa® is placed into the deep dermal and subdermal layers using a needle or cannula. Lidocaine is built into the formulation, so additional numbing is often unnecessary. Your practitioner moulds and shapes the product as they go.
3.
Straight back to your day
You'll see the lifting effect immediately. No recovery time is needed.
The few days after
Expect mild swelling, tenderness, and occasionally some bruising at the injection points — this typically settles within 2–3 days. The area may feel slightly firm at first, which softens as the product integrates.
For the first 48 hours, avoid intense exercise, saunas, and alcohol, and don't massage the area. We'll give you full written aftercare at your appointment.
Planning ahead: allow 2–3 weeks before a significant event so swelling has fully settled.

Mild swelling, tenderness, bruising, and a slightly firm feeling in the treated area are normal in the first few days as the product integrates. Contact us promptly if you notice increasing pain, skin blanching or unusual discolouration, or any changes that worsen rather than improve — these are rare, but should always be assessed.

Both — that's what makes it unusual. It's a hybrid injectable containing cross-linked hyaluronic acid (the filler component, for immediate lift) and calcium hydroxyapatite (the biostimulator component, for collagen production over the following months). It's the first product of its kind to combine the two in a single syringe.

A standard HA filler adds volume, then gradually breaks down and is metabolised — typically lasting 9–12 months. HArmonyCa® does that too, but the calcium hydroxyapatite also stimulates your own collagen production. When the HA eventually metabolises, the collagen framework it helped build remains, which is why results last considerably longer.

The lift from the hyaluronic acid is visible immediately, on the day of treatment. The collagen-stimulating effect develops gradually and is usually most noticeable between one and three months post-treatment.

Up to 18–24 months for most people, though this varies with individual metabolism, lifestyle, and the area treated. Some clients choose a refresh at around 12–18 months.

HArmonyCa® contains lidocaine, a local anaesthetic built directly into the formulation, so treatment is more comfortable than many alternatives. Most clients describe mild pressure rather than pain. Additional topical numbing can be applied if you'd prefer.

No. Calcium hydroxyapatite isn't appropriate for the lips or the tear trough region, where the skin is thin and the risk of visible nodules is higher. If these are your areas of concern, we'll recommend a more suitable hyaluronic acid product.

Partially. The hyaluronic acid component can be dissolved with hyaluronidase if needed, but the calcium hydroxyapatite cannot — it breaks down naturally over time. This is why careful assessment and conservative technique matter, and why we take time at consultation to be certain it's the right treatment for you.

Yes. HArmonyCa® works well alongside anti-wrinkle injections, skin boosters, and energy-based treatments. Your practitioner will advise on appropriate sequencing and timing.

HArmonyCa® is a non-surgical option best suited to mild or moderate laxity. It won't reposition tissue the way threads or a surgical lift can. If your concern is more advanced, we'll say so honestly at consultation rather than recommend a treatment that won't deliver.

Yes — it isn't suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with an active skin infection in the area, with known sensitivities to any of the components, or with certain autoimmune and connective tissue conditions. We take a full medical history at consultation.
